It took me until i finished the main story and like 75% whole game completion to find that out because I DIDN'T WANT TO SUQISH THEM I KEPT LOOKING AT THEM INSTEAD

What do you think Luna’s mutant/superhero name would be?

Realistically, I think she'd probably just go by Luna. For one thing, she's not a mutant. Inhumans don't typically use codenames or supehero monikers-- the Nuhumans like Ms. Marvel or Inferno, who were born and raised on Earth, do, but those who were raised in Inhuman culture don't. "Crystal", "Medusa", and "Black Bolt" are all shortened version of those characters’ full names-- "Crystalia", "Medusalith", "Blackagar Boltagon", etc.

If you want to lean into her magical ancestry, Luna is also a suitably mystical-sounding name. Otherwise, I'd probably look for short, simple word for "witch," similar to Billy's "Wiccan"-- Wanda gets the full title of Scarlet Witch, but the kids get simpler names. Maybe something like "Seer," if you wanted to expand her abilities into scrying and clairvoyance?

i'd add that mike was also annoyed that everyone was using el's powers as an excuse to treat her like a machine. mike's very confident when he tells el that he's sure they'll come back, and in season 4 after he calls her a superhero, it comes out that a secret plan to get her powers back has been in the works the whole time. brenner coming back to life for that plotline after we saw him get bodied by a demogorgon is straight out of a comic book, and they made a point of how black and white mike's morals are through his reaction to the angela situation and by finally calling out the monster/supehero dichotomy that he started as simplistic and relatively juvenile

Just because a character have redeemable qualities, doesn't mean they can/will be redeemed. Homelander is already too far gone and done so much damage. I only pity him because he is a fool (I pity the fool). He believes himself to be above everyone, he believes the world revolves around him. He believed himself to be a better "supehero" than the "other superheroes", yet he's well aware that things go awry because of his decisions, but makes no move to fix things. He himself could have left vought wheb sent to his first mission and start a brand new life if he ever wanted any real shot at earning love and respect, if the other supes and vought drove him insane. Thanks to Black Noir's manipulation (Ep 8 of diabolical implies it), Runtlander is completely corrupted and his manipulation leads to his downfall after his insanity. As his relationship with Ryan, he'll just live through Ryan and mold him into the little perfect heir. Just because Homelander never had actual friends, family, nor fell in love (genuinely and healthily), he thinks he has the right to forbid it to his very own son, Ryan, who he only treats as property, blood that is. That abomination would want his son to be with a stronger yet charismatic person over a "weakling" (i.e. mere mortal or weaker supe). He didn't have enough with guilt-tripping Ryan out from his mother (Becca) and to treat Ryan like as an extension of himself, Homelander has to take EVERYTHING away from Ryan by manipulating him.

AU Idea:

Rooster Chloe & Cat Alix & Ladybug Lila

Fu fucked up. Alix is doing the brunt work. Lila just lazes around and soaks in the fame and attention. While Chloè is confused and worried on why Alix look so tired all the time and looked like she wanted to punch the Ladubug's hero face. And the class is annoyed with this new student who's acting WORSE than Chloe cause Lila made people think that she and the Ladybug hero are friends and doesn't see the need to bother fabricating lies when she already established that she's a supeheroes best friend.

Interesting idea!

I've already got a name for Black Cat!Alix (Mao Noire)

I just came up for a name for Rooster!Chloé (Soleil Soie which translates to Sun Silkie, a type of chicken breed).

But what about Lila? Bella Bug? Nera Nella?

As for a name for this AU? Mao's Sunshine or something?

Mysticons Fan Season 2 Episode 8: A Little Change

The Mysticons are sledding down Snow Hill, a range of snow hills that never melts. One of them is extremely tall and steep, and Zarya, Piper, and Sharise all attempt it. Piper tells suggests that Arkayna and Em try, and while Arkayna does, Em hesitates, and says that she would rather stick with the smaller hills. Zarya makes a joke about Em being "the most cautious supehero ever", and while everyone else takes it as a joke, Em feels bad about it. However, she hides it from the rest of the team.

That night, when everyone else is asleep, Em looks through the various spellbooks in the stronghold. She sees one that would allow a person to completely change their personality, but there is nothing saying what the new personality would be like. Em is about to put the book away, but Zarya's words during sledding, as well as remembering how she bottled up her feelings and how her hesitation caused Zarya's life drain spell, makes her decide that the spell would be worth it. She casts it, then goes to bed.

The next day, the Mysticons notice that Em isn't awake yet, even though she's never late for training. Em comes, but instead of her normal outfit, she is dressed in a purple tank top and black shorts that are ripped at the bottom. The other Mysticons are surprised by this change, and Sharise compliments Em on her new style. Training starts, and they notice that Em is more ruthless during training than usual, not apoligizing after hitting someone. Arkayna asks Em why she's acting so weird, but before Em can explain what happened, Queen Goodfey calls them, saying that the Vexicons escaped and that one of the royal ships were stolen.

The Mysticons go to the dungeon, and Queen Goodfey shows the footage. They see a video of a cloaked figure use magic to free the Mysticons. The Mysticons recognize it as Tazma, as that cloak is the same one Tazma used when she convinced Piper and Zarya to steal the dragon disk. They wonder why Tazma would want the Vexicons, as it seems like Tazma is working with Mallock, who can access creatures from many different dimensions. Em guesses that Tazma wants to break free of Mallock and betray them, calling her ruthless.

While searching for Tazma and the Vexicons, Arkayna learns that a royal ship was seen on an abandoned island. She warns the other Mysticons that the island is covered with bones, scaring Piper. Em makes fun of Piper for it, and Sharise snaps at Em, asking why she's so rude all of a sudden. Em smugly states that she found a spell to make her brave and confident. Zarya tries to apoligize for her comment about Em being scared, but Em says that it's the best thing that ever happened to her.

They reach bone island, and face off against various skeleton creatures. Em is mainly focused on protecting herself, instead of the team, like usual. After the fight with the skeleton, they continue to look for Tazma and the Vexicons. Arkayna pulls Zarya to the side, and tells her off for her comment about how scared Em was. Zarya says that it was just a joke, and points out how everyone saw it as such. Arkayna realizes that her laughing didn't help, and says that Em likely didn't see it as a joke.

The Mysticons face other challenges on the island, with Em being self-centered and cold, before finding Tazma and the Vexicons. A fight ensues, and while the Vexicons are captured. Tazma is in a situation where she can either free the Vexicons or escape, and she chooses to flee. Em asks if she's like Tazma, and Piper says that the real Em is kind and amazing, and the other Mysticons agree. Em points out how she used to heistate when things didn't go according to plan, and Zarya admits that her caution isn't always bad. Em thinks for a moment and agrees to remove the spell.

The reversal spell is cast, and Em is back to normal. Em apoligizes for the spell, and Zarya apoligizes for not realizing how much what she said affected her. Em admits that she would like to get over her fears though, and asks if they can go back to Snow Hill sometime so she can get over her fear of the large hill. The others agree.

10. Who would win in a fight: Bubbler, Rocketear, or Carapace?

(can you believe i had to look up rocketear’s powers because i was so focused on the character drama in the episode that i completely forgot them?)

Rocketear! I think it’s down to a battle of wits, which is… hard because they’re the same person. But the Bubbler and Rocketear are more long rang fighters and I think with his explosive tears, Rocketear could win against the bubbles if he’s careful. Also, he looks cooler, so I’m biased.

14. Describe a fanfic plot you’ve always wanted to see that revolves around either Alya or Nino or both, but have never run across (at least, not executed well).

I don’t know if there are any, but I haven’t found any fic where Master Fu decided sending the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculous is too dangerous and instead sends out the Fox and Turtle (for plot reason~) and Rena Rouge and Carapace become the main duo from the start. I don’t even want a love square from them, just main supeheroes Alyno fic. It’s coming to a point where I’ll have to write it myself.

15. What would you like to see done with Alya’s character in the future?

I kinda want Alya to get a storyline a bit more focused on her ambitions as a reporter, I've been crying for it since Season 1, and the struggle between being a reporter and a superhero. Is she missing recording fights because of Rena Furtive? The glimpse of her being excited to have new Rena material and being unable to post because it’s secret superhero stuff is good. I want more reporter Alya.

16. What would you like to see done with Nino’s character in the future?

I just want a storyline that’s centered on Nino. I mean, sure, I want to see him struggle with being unable to help Adrien face his father and their relationship developing, but I want something that’s Nino’s. Sometimes (okay, maybe that’s an understatement) it feels like he’s there only to serve other people’s narratives. Show us some Nino-centric stuff, I’m not above begging.

Anyway to speak about much more pleasant things what do you thing about the Rege as 007 rumors? There's also a rumor he's been eyed for Black Panther as a T'Challa replacement?

I hope the 007 rumors have credence, but honestly as Rege has said, whenever a British dude blows up he’s courted with em--Hiddleston got em, Richard Madden got em, Sam Heughan got em, Idris got em.  I would hoooope that he’s genuinely in contention, but it can often take a bit for a new Bond to launch after the old one, and I’ve heard that this last Craig Bond could potentially tie into the next one.  So it may be hard to guess until No Time to Die comes out.

I don’t want him for T’Challa.  Tbh, I think that in general T’Challa is a role that was owned by Chadwick, and they should find a new Black Panther to follow rather than recasting T’Challa.  My instinct would be Shuri, but then Letitia........ did all that....  Maybe Nakia?  But either way, T’Challa is a dark-skinned man.  Rege is not; so it would not be appropriate, imo, for him to be cast as T’Challa, or in general as a native Wakandan based on the precedent set by the previous actors and the narrative.

But obviously, there are a lot of roles he could take up.  I personally have a lot of supehero fatigue, so as much as I’d love for him to be in a big franchise, I kinda hope D&D blows up instead? He’d be great in a Knives Out-like thriller, and I could totally see him that.  All the smart dialogue and twisted roles?  Please.

Happy Storyteller Saturday! How do you tackle writing experiences outside your own?

Happy sts to you too!! The short answer is: with great difficulty and even greater anxiety! 

See, the thing is that I have anxiety and not a lot of ‘experiences’. My life has been pretty boring, which I coped with at a very young age by writing - and now I’ve spent so much time writing and not much else. This may be why I tend to gravitate towards non-realism, especially fantasy. It’s harder to mess up an experience that nobody has had (i.e. magic).

Of course, that doesn’t mean I only write fantasy, and that’s where I usually start getting anxious. Look at Sofia. She’s a black teenager - something I have never been and will never be. Some people that I’ve expressed my worry about this to have suggested I ‘just make her white’ (which is a problem all on it’s own, but this response is already longer than it really should be). But I genuinely can’t imagine her as anything else - it feels disingenuous, similar to the way that it’s always been uncomfortable that almost all of the X-Men are white (or blue or translucent or pretty much anything but brown) with the only exception that I’m aware of being Storm. And while this may have gotten better (I don’t read comic books, just watch the movies/tv shows), the fact of the matter is that, to borrow words from Orion Martin (who was borrowing an idea from Neil Shyminsky in this exact quote) who re-drew famous X-Men comic covers with the characters as Black (or ‘some shade of brown’), “playing out Civil Rights struggles with an all white cast allows the white male audience of the comics to appropriate the struggles of marginalized peoples...” Actually, I believe it’s this exact article that I encountered when I first started thinking about gifted, and heavily influenced Sofia and the Ungifted community - perhaps ironic, considering that Ungifteds are the opposite of the mutants and the X-Men. 

This has led me to doing a lot of research, and discovering and subsequently relying on writingwithcolor (not only them, of course, but they’re still a fantastic resource!). Sofia is also the character that led to me taking a look at my previous writings and their diversity, or lack thereof and making a lot of adjustments to them - and all future projects. It also led to Falks and its class/teachers being as colorfully diverse as they are - compared to originally when there weren’t a lot of character descriptions and that unfortunate ‘default is white’ problem that plagues many books (a prominent example being Hunger Games, where all characters were assumed white because of how little focus there was on physical appearances) - even if that means both a lot more researcher and a much greater chance of fucking up, which is a bit daunting. Hence, great anxiety.

I don’t claim to be an expert - quite the opposite, as I’m always learning and changing. I don’t think I’ll get it all right either, even with the help of sensitivity readers that I’m planning on eventually getting. 

So I suppose this is all a roundabout way of saying: I tackle writing experiences outside of my own (which is most experiences!) by doing as much research as I can, accepting that it won’t be perfect, and understanding that there are some things that I need to do and some things that I should absolutely not do. (Writing about a Black teenager becoming a supehero? Okay! Writing about a Black teenager dealing violent racism? Absolutely not - nothing I could possibly say on that subject would be more important or even close to the same level as the Black writers who have already and will continue to tackle it.)

Hard disagree, you’re quite clearly looking for an issue where there absolutely isn’t one- I wrote that post as a lighthearted way to show how a lot of comparisons could be drawn between masked superheroes and lgbt culture, the same way it is for literally all other supeheroes, but like....... if u wanna be woke, go off I guess
